August 26 is Women’s Equality Day.
Women’s Equality Day takes place annually in the US on August 26. On August 26, 1920, US women received the right to vote when the 19th Amendment was made law in the US Constitution. Women’s rights have come a long way in the US, but gender inequality still exists in America and around the world.
