I think this lesson about Wonder is simply fantastic! My students and I discussed the article, studied the word families of some of the words on the vocab list, and used the words in their own sentences. For example, wisdom (noun), wise (adjective), and wisely (adverb). I try to include word families to help students further expand their vocabulary comprehension and retention.

For a short writing task, I asked my students to list down 3 things they are curious about. My student from Vietnam wondered why people need to eat. He said, “Eating is a biological necessity. But if we could find a way to help people not eat, we could save so much money.”

Thanks so much for this lesson! Because of it, I was able to discover a new educational site (Wonderopolis) and help my students explore their curiosities. :)
