Podcast: Rock and Roll

Rock and Roll

Today’s podcast features a reading from our intermediate-level¬†Famous Things lesson about Rock and Roll. Where did this music genre come from and who made it so popular? In our ready-made lesson, students read a short article about the history of rock and roll. After learning and practicing new vocabulary from the reading, students discuss their favorite types of music.

To see the full transcript and use the ready-made lesson in class, log in to ESL Library and choose the Rock and Roll lesson from our Famous Things section.

I wondered if you could put the English level on your podcasts.

      Hi Carol,

Thanks for your interest in our podcasts. The podcasts should have levels on them. I checked the last few, and they all do. They are attached to the readings from our ready-made lessons (with levels). This one says intermediate-level in the text. We use the level in the title if there are two or more lessons on the same topic in our library, e.g., Nelson Mandela (Beginner).
