Podcast: Grandparents’ Day
The first Sunday after Labor Day
Throughout the world, people use different names to address their grandparents. This is the case even in English-speaking countries. No matter what they are called, grandparents are often cherished by their grandkids, and vice versa. Today’s podcast features a reading from our Everyday Holidays lesson plan on Grandparents’ Day. In this lesson, students read about the holiday and talk about the role of grandparents in their own lives. They also practice identifying word forms. To see the full transcript and use the ready-made lesson plan in class, log in to ESL Library and choose our Every Day is A Holiday section.
